EGI-InSPIRE project has started on May 1, 2010 as a four-year project, with the participation of over 50 institutes from 40 countries. The main aim of the EGI-InSPIRE project supported by the European Union is to establish and operate a sustainable European Grid Infrastructure.
One of the main objectives of EGI-InSPIRE is to integrate distributed computing infrastructures such as cloud computing, high-performance computing networks, and desktop grid structures and to benefit user communities within the European Research Area.
